A basement wall that bows inward is losing a fight with the soil outside it. The right repair depends on how far the wall has moved, which is why every job starts with measurement, not a sales pitch.
Kansas clay soil swells when it gets wet and presses laterally against basement walls. Block walls usually respond with a horizontal crack along a mortar joint and a gradual inward lean. Poured walls tend to crack horizontally and tilt in at the top. Poor drainage and downspouts dumping water beside the wall make the pressure worse.
Walls with early movement are typically stabilized with carbon fiber straps bonded to the wall. Walls with more deflection get steel I-beam braces or wall anchors that reach into stable soil in the yard. Severely displaced walls may need excavation and straightening or rebuilding. Drainage corrections accompany every option so the pressure does not rebuild.
Wall movement rarely reverses on its own, and the repair options narrow as deflection increases. A wall that could be held with carbon fiber today may need bracing or rebuilding if it keeps moving.

Deflection is measured along the wall's height. Small movement can often be reinforced in place, while larger displacement may require bracing, anchors, or rebuilding. Measurement during the inspection determines the option.
